Strossie P. (Sigman) Dawson

Strossie P. Dawson, age 80, of, Procious, West Virginia, died Tuesday afternoon in Shelby Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 19, 1913 in Strange Creek, Braxton County, West Virginia the daughter of John O. and Emily Ann (Butcher) Sigman.

Mrs. Dawson was a homemaker and a member of the Big Otter Baptist Church in Ivydale, West Virginia.

Mrs. Dawson is survived by 4 daughters: Ann Levan of Dallas, Texas; Loretta Biglin of Shelby; Louetta Hollister of South Bend, Indiana; and Roberta Thompson of Indianapolis, Indiana; 4 sons:
David Dawson of Orlando, Florida; Glen Dawson of Lucas, Ohio; Phillip Dawson of Sullivan, Ohio; and Delbert Dawson of Mansfield; 2 sisters: Atha Dawson of Gandeville, West Virginia; and Reva
Fratz of Barberton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the Carl Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Main Street in Clay, West Virginia, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Darrell Mollohan, officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Strange Creek, West Virginia.

Local funeral arrangements were handled by the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.
