Stewart Parker Hawk, II
Stewart Parker Hawk, II, age 53, of Shelby, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA.
Stew was born January 15, 1961, the son of the late Stewart Parker and Carol (Buser) Hawk. He was a 1979 graduate of Jefferson Area High School in Jefferson, Ohio. Stew had received education from a few different places following high school including Kent State University, Columbus State, Hondoros College where he received a certification in Life, Health, and Variable Annuities, and Roadmaster Truck Driving School where he earned his Class A CDL. He had been in direct to consumer sales for 25 years and more recently was involved with internet marketing. He was the Vice President of Shelby Vinyl Products, LLC, worked for On-Dekk Transportation and had worked for Express-1 Expedited Solutions and U.S. Vinyl Technologies. Stew’s LinkedIn page summary exemplifies him well, “Philosopher, Visionary, Singer/Songwriter, Siding Man.”
Stew is survived by his sister: Cheryl Hawk of Shelby; uncle and aunt: Ben and Mary Buser of Sandusky; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 1-2 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Funeral services will follow the end of calling hours at Little London Cemetery (Corner of Plymouth Springmill Road and Smiley Avenue) with Rev. Brad McBee officiating.

Cheryl, My sincerest sympathy to you – (as you know) your brother was such a big part of my high school/young adult years…whether it was relentlessly trying to give me a ride home from school in his gremlin or hanging out countless nights at Salvato’s where he shared his love of music, intellect, and infectious sense of humor. He introduced us to lifetime friends, future boyfriends + even a husband! There was never a dull moment when Stewie was around! He used to have a set of mannequin legs he loved to prank people with by placing under his car in the parking lot that would freak out people by thinking they almost, or did run over someone – that was Stewie!! At the same time, he was also a gentle and kind soul. Looking back, they were crazy but some of the most awesome years of my life. I regret not keeping better in touch with him once I moved away. We take for granted our friends will somehow always be there – and in my heart he is – I will miss him and cherish my memories of him with love.
Stew touched many hearts and will be missed dearly by all his friends and family.All that new him were blessed. A great sense of humor, great musician, and great humanatarian. Glad he was able to visit me this month. I look forward to when we meet again in heaven. Until then my dear friend.

I am sorry for our loss. We have lost such a colorful and vibrant personality yet Heaven has gained an awesome angel.
I had the pleasure of knowing Stewart as a neighbor, a friend, an inspiration, a roommate, a co-champion of air guitar, the man with simply the greatest laugh in history, the guy who talked me into breaking the silence and boredom of my high school graduation by raising dual peace signs and simply yelling wwoooo! as I received my diploma, yeah, he’s holding his stomach and laughing now remembering that one. He was to me a near rock star personality. The Dude with the Bad-Fast, black, Ford Mustang GT, aptly named ; “The Dark Horse” in case you didn’t know. And a man who had one of the biggest hearts filled with enough compassion to love the world.
I had not seen Stew in years but now I realize how much of an impact he made on me when I was young. Was not able to understand how lucky I am to have known him. I will go forth carrying fond memories of our brother. If you see me smiling or laughing it’s a good chance i will be enjoying a memory of Stewart.

Just heard about Stewart-Stewie- So sorry for your lost. What an awesome guy he was.
