Sandra Kay Bricker

Sandra Kay Bricker, age 72, of Shelby, died peacefully with her daughters by her side on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Brethren Care Village’s Heath Care Center in Ashland after a long battle with cancer.

Sandy was born January 12, 1945 in Shelby to the late Doyt and Elizabeth (Conboy) Stober. She was a 1963 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. Sandy was a former employee of EWI, Inc. in Shelby, Taylor Products in Mansfield, and Broshco Fabricated Products in Mansfield from where she retired. She was a life member of Shelby VFW Auxiliary. Sandy enjoyed traveling, gambling and playing cards, and fishing at Lake Erie.

Sandy is survived by 2 daughters: Christina Floro of Cleveland and Brenda (Michael) Reed of Shelby; a son: Robert “Doug” Floro of Crestline; 5 grandchildren: Tristan Reed, Jessica Wheeler, Danny Floro, Ashley Floro, and Katlyn Floro; a great granddaughter: Nautica Wheeler; 3 brothers: Tom (Sharon) Stober, Lee Stober, and Pat Stober, all of Shelby. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Bricker, on May 30, 2012.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 5-7 pm at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery and graveside services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby Helpline Ministries.
