Rosella V. Wood

Rosella V. Wood, age 89, longtime Shelby resident, died Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
Rosella was born December 30, 1926 in Crestline, the daughter of the late Grover S. and Ella E. (Lee) Neumann. She was a graduate of Leesville High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Church of Christ in Shelby, Shelby American Legion Auxiliary, and Thursday Swingers Golf League. Rosella spent 20 years in adult Girl Scouting, enjoyed quilting and spent countless hours volunteering for her church and for Fairhaven Community prior to being a resident there.
She is survived by her children: Patricia (Steven) King of Wilmington, OH and Timothy (Lori) Wood of Shelby; 6 grandchildren: Zachary King, Nathan King, Rachel King, Elizabeth (Keith) Duniver, Seth (Jamie) Wood, Olivia Wood; 7 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Christina Mackey, Jill Stall, Evelyn Langoehr; and 1 brother: John (Nancy) Neumann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: George S. Wood in 1994; infant daughter: Elizabeth Wood in 1954; triplet granddaughters: Angela, Melissa, and Jennifer Wood; and by 7 siblings: Grace Ball, Ruth Gwirtz, Merilyn Brown, Naomi Cole, Lee Neumann, Albert Neumann and William Neumann.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 1-2 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM by Pastor James Robinson of First United Church of Christ and Chaplain Becky King of Fairhaven Community officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.

I remember having Rosie as one of my girl scout leaders. She was a woman that was compassionate, caring and a great asset to the community. She taught me to care about others and the community I live in.
