Roger W. Daron

Roger Weldon Daron, age 81, of Plymouth, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Med Central Shelby Emergency Room.

Roger was born August 29, 1931 in Huron County, the son of the late Ralph and Myrtle (Christie) Daron. He was a 1949 graduate of Plymouth High School and served in the United States Air Force for four years. Roger worked and retired from Uforma in Shelby and was a farmer.

Roger is survived by: his wife, Carol Jean (Bonecutter) Daron whom he wed on April 12, 1958; 3 children: Andy (Sally) Daron of Plymouth, Pete Daron of Shelby, Kim (Mike) Withkowski of Plymouth; 4 grandchildren: Amanda Daron, Ben Daron, Andie Daron, and his little buddy, Adam Withkowski, whom he affectionately called “Troopie.”

Friends are welcome on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Private family services will be held at the family farm at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

    My deepest sympathies to the Daron family. He was a very pleasant man I enjoyed talking to, especially about the Plymouth sports teams. I just returned from vacation and heard the news of his passing while I was gone. So sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers for all of the family.
