Rebecca Sue “Beckie” Stacklin
Rebecca Sue “Beckie” Stacklin, age 68, of Tiro, passed away Sunday night, March 17, 2024 at the Cleveland Clinic following a brief and unexpected illness.
Beckie was born May 6, 1955 in Wood County, Ohio to the late C. Jack and Betty S. (Whitacre) Fogle. A 1973 graduate of Shelby High School, she also attended Pioneer Joint Vocational School. Beckie spent her 40-year career as the Assistant Treasurer at Pioneer Career and Technology Center from where she retired in 2018. Beckie was a member of the Shelby American Legion Auxiliary where, over the years, she held various offices, and was also a member of the Shelby Eagles and Moose. She loved to read books and scrapbook, thoroughly liked spending time at Lake Erie camping and fishing, and especially enjoyed being with family.
On July 25, 1997 she married Lawrence E. “Larry” Stacklin, Jr. and he survives along with their daughter: Sara Stacklin (partner, Domonic Brohard) of Fairborn; brothers: Bob (Sue) Fogle of Bucyrus, Bill (Angelika) Fogle of Greenville, SC, and Jay (Kim) Fogle of Shelby; mother and father-in-law: Lawrence E. “Larry” and Paulette Stacklin, Sr. of Shelby; in-laws: Theresa (Jim) Young of Canal Fulton, Cheryl (Bill) Lowe of Richmond Heights, Mark (Crystal) Stacklin of Lexington, Tom Stacklin of Shelby, and Rick Stacklin (Tracie Paine) of North Ridgeville; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 2-4 and 5-7 pm at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Graveside services will be held at a later date on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11 am at Oakland Cemetery, Shelby. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the graveside services in May at the Shelby American Legion, 89 East Main Street, Shelby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association (Lung.org/Donate).

I actually knew Beckie when we grew up in Tiro area. We worked together at Pioneer and I can still hear that laugh. I am so worry for your loss and hope you cherish the good memories you have. Take one day at a time as it takes time.

Beckie, was such a kind and wondeful person. At pioneer, I would stop by her office for Cosmetology and she would always have a smile and was always willing to help in anyway she could. My prayers go out to the family for comfort and peace.

Larry,Sarah, Jay,Kim and family I’m so sorry for the loss of your family member. I’ve known Becky since. I was just a young child we grew up down the road from each other, she was always so close to our family my mom even let her name my youngest sister Vickie. Becky you will truly be missed by all.
