Penwell Turner Funeral Home - Shelby, Ohio

Randy Dean Onie

Randy Dean Onie, age 62, of Shelby, died Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in Bullhead City, Arizona.

Randy was born November 26, 1957 in Shelby, the son of the late Harold Dean and Mary Alice “Boots” (Brown) Onie. As a little boy, Randy enjoyed playing little league, and, was a 1976 graduate of Shelby High School.  For many years, Randy worked at Brown’s Electric and Plumbing before starting his own plumbing and electric company. Randy was just like his Grandpa Brown in that they both were blessed with a green thumb. Both could grow the most beautiful flowers.

Randy enjoyed his children and family and his gentle spirit and kind heart will be greatly missed. Surviving are his children: Brittany Onie and Tristan Onie; a grandson: Colt; sister: Debbie Dorsey; aunt and uncle: Betty and Jim Yetzer; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Randy was preceded in death by his dad, Harold, in 2003 and his mom, Mary Alice “Boots”, in 2019.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed by leaving an online condolence at www.PenwellTurner.com or by commenting on Randy’s obituary on the funeral home’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/PenwellFuneral.
