Paul R. Rissler

Paul R. Rissler, age 48, of Shiloh, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at his home following a battle with cancer.

Paul was born on July 23, 1965 in Lancaster, PA, the son of Paul M. and Alta B. (Reiff) Rissler. He was a member of Bloomingrove Mennonite Church. Paul was the self-employed owner of Spring Maple Enterprises where he was a woodworker and custom poultry processer.

On December 19, 1989, Paul married Barbara M. Reiff and she survives. Also surviving are: 8 children: Marian R. (David) Martin of Plymouth, Leroy R. Rissler of Leola, PA, Harlan R. Rissler, Wilma R. Rissler, Lamar R. Rissler, Vernon R. Rissler, Dorcas R. Rissler, Barbara R. Rissler all at home; one granddaughter, Alana Joy Martin; his mother, Alta B. Rissler of Leola, PA; 4 brothers: James Rissler of Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA, David Rissler of Manheim, PA, Aaron Rissler of Africa, Harlan Rissler of Reinholds, PA; 2 sisters: Susan Leid of Ephrata, PA, Vera Rissler of Leola, PA; his mother-in-law, Barbara H. Zimmerman of New Holland, PA. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul M. Rissler, and his father-in-law, Eli E. Reiff, Jr.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the family home, 400 Baseline Road West, Shiloh. Morning services will be held on Friday at 8:30 AM at the family home prior to funeral services at 9:30 AM at Bloomingrove Mennonite Church, on Free Road, Shiloh. Bishop Ammon Burkholder will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Care for Paul and his family is being provided by Jake, Bob, and Catherine at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.
