Penwell Turner Funeral Home - Shelby, Ohio

Natasha M. “Tasha” Treadway

Natasha M. “Tasha” Treadway, age 28, of Shelby, died Thursday, November 9, 2017as a result of an automobile accident.

Tasha was the nicest/meanest person you would ever meet. She lived on the edge but very much lived in the moment. She was a protector who would stand up for anyone, especially those she cared about. Tasha loved her children, her family, and her friends, but especially had a strong relationship with her mom, Tammy (Cain) Treadway. She enjoyed going to the casino and out to eat. She always came to all events and made sure everyone ate enough and would even pack up several plates to take to all her friends to be certain they would not go hungry.

Tasha was born on May 8, 1989 in Shelby. Her parents, Tammy Treadway (Mike Sigler) of Mansfield and Wilson Treadway of Crestline, survive. Also surviving are: her three children: Serenity, Rodrick, Jr., and Sy’air and their fathers: Rodrick Pettis and Tytus Shields; 2 sisters: Kalsie Treadway of Mansfield and Amanda Treadway of Galion; special cousins who were more like sisters: Tristen Cain and Mandy Ramey; her grandfather: Ralph Cain of Shelby; aunts and uncles: Tiffany (Will) Brown, Art (Carin) Cain, Andrea Lamson, Crystal (Tom) Kempf, Tammy Williams, and Tom Treadway; special friends: Rayven, Keri, and Teresa; and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother: Rose Cain; paternal grandparents: Pearl and Carl Treadway, Phyllis Cole; and an aunt Candy Cain.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 3-6 pm at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 6 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future assistance with Tasha’s three children, Serenity, Rodrick, Jr., and Sy’air.

  10. Destiny Horton says:

It’s hard to put everything into words when you have shared so many memories together all within 6 months. We have been inseparable since. I feel hurt, I feel angry. I just want to hear you tell me how good of a friend I was to you one last time. I just want to FaceTime you one last time. I just want to go sit with you while you gamble and yell at you because you wouldn’t quit putting 20 after 20 in the machine. I just want to go eat dinner with you at Texas Roadhouse one last time. I just want to sit outside my house and talk and drink Henny until after 4am one last time. There’s been so many times I was already in bed and you’d call me telling me to come meet you out but I was already half asleep, now I regret never going. I hate all of this. The night this tragedy happened, an hour before, you hugged me told me you loved me and that you were leaving.. I never pictured that would be the last time I heard your voice or felt your hugs. That’s the only thing keeping me at peace within myself right now is knowing those were our last words to each other was “Love you” .. my heart hurts for the babies, your mom, friends, and the rest of the family but I have faith you are looking over all of us now. I love you baby and I’ll miss you every single day and no matter what I’ll always do my daily FaceTime call to you because God knows if I even went 10 hours without calling you you’d be calling me and yelling at me asking why I haven’t called you all day. You’ll always be my best friend and I’ll see you one day love.

I knew Natasha well writing the school bus with her on the way to school. She was so caring and tough and so full of life. It’s sad that she went home so young, but God called for an angel to come home so she can watch over us and protect all of her friends and family. Again, my deepest sympathies go to Natasha’s family and friends oh, and many prayers sent with much love.
