Mollie L. Barnett

Mollie L. Barnett, age 46, of Tiro, passed away Monday afternoon, January 15, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic- Fairview Hospital. Her death follows a courageous and well fought battle with cancer.

Mollie was born September 18, 1977 to Jeffery Thomas and Betty (Stephens) Goble. A 1996 graduate of Plymouth High School, Mollie later earned a master’s degree in business. She was currently employed at Return Polymers in Ashland- a job she truly enjoyed.

Mollie was a loving wife and devoted mother who loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed training and raising her two dogs and adopted several neighborhood cats. Her hobbies included home remodeling and interior design of her home in Tiro. She also enjoyed creating items for others to enjoy. Molly had a love of music and enjoyed singing, playing, and dancing. Some of her favorite activities were karaoke parties and cookouts.

Mollie married Scott Barnett on November 17, 2018. Mollie is survived by her husband: Scott; her sons: Seth Parsons of Crestline and Caden Parsons of Bucyrus; mother: Betty Goble of Shelby; brother: Jeffery (Diana) Goble of Colorado Springs, CO; nephews: Eli and Paedon Goble; and numerous other relatives, including her dear cousin, Sireena Brown, and a host of friends. Her father, Jeffery Goble, preceded her in death in 2007.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 11 am-1 pm at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will immediately follow at 1 pm. Ricky Stumbo will officiate the services. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to City of Hope Cancer Center (www.cityofhope.org/giving).
