Mildred Louise “Milly” Page

Mildred Louise “Milly” Page, age 85, of Shelby, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

Milly was born September 17, 1927 in Willard, the daughter of the late Emil R. and Zephyr (Hord) Price. She attended Willard High School and later retired from General Services Administration located in Shelby at the former Wilkens Air Force Depot. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and playing on the internet. She was also a beautiful singer. Milly loved to travel, especially to Vegas and Hawaii. Always being politically conscious, if Milly was up, she had the television tuned to Fox News.

Milly is survived by: 2 daughters: Carol Jean (Ralph) Barber and Janice Eichinger both of Shelby; 6 grandchildren: Angela (Muhammad) Al-Nidawi, Connie (Billy) Castle, Michelle Barber, Richard (Angela) Eichinger, Chris (Kristin) Barber, Tasha Wilson; 14 great grandchildren: Bobby, Amber, Autumn, Rosie, Noah, Connor, Carson, Samantha, Anna, Kaidence, Justin, Ansley, Ashlyn, Quinten; a great granddaughter: Maddison; 2 step-children: Debbie Wilson and Ray (Carla) Gilespie both of Oklahoma; a sister: Esther Dake of Shelby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband: Russell T. Page on August 12, 2010; a son-in-law: Frederick Eichinger; a step-son: Russell “Butch” Gilespie; a sister: Hazel Gray

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, from 10-11 am where funeral services will be conducted at 11 am. Dr. Rich Rader will officiate and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

    So sad for the loss of Grandma Paige. I hold your family in my heart and in my prayers. She definitely leaves the legacy of her awesome sarcastic wit that lives on in at least one granddaughter that I know quite well. 🙂 I hope that the memories of her warm smile bring you comfort through these difficult days.
