Marsha Lynn Chase

Marsha Lynn Chase, age 65, of Mansfield, died Saturday, February 10, 2024 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus following complications of heart surgery.

Marsha was born September 2, 1958 in Shelby to the late Henry Edward “Ed” and Claris (Adkins) Kemplin. A graduate of Shelby High School, she was primarily a homemaker. Marsha absolutely adored her grandchildren and her dogs, both of whom she put at the very top of her priority list. She loved going to her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities and she especially enjoyed faithfully attending the Richland County Fair each year. A faithful spectator of both The Ohio State University Buckeye football and Hallmark movies, Marsha also enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels.

On March 26, 1982 she married Gregory L. “Greg” Chase and he survives. Also surviving are her sons: Jason (Amanda) Waddles of Plymouth, Josh Chase of Mansfield, Zac (Kristi) Chase of Mansfield, and Matt (Renee) Chase of Mansfield; grandchildren: Gavin, Ryleigh, Henry, Kaitlynn, Caden, Logan, Connor, Brody, Bella, Brinn, and Benji; faithful canine companions: Abby and Lexie; siblings: Pam Ridenour, Terri Kemplin Howard, and Ed Kemplin; and numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew: Jacob Edward Kemplin.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 10-11 am at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will immediately follow at 11 am. Rev. Gary Adkins, Marsha’s uncle, will officiate the services with burial following in Mansfield Memorial Park, Ontario.
