Mabel Reiff Martin

Mabel Reiff Martin, age 68, of rural Shelby, died early Tuesday morning, August 8, 2017 at her home.

Mabel was born November 8, 1948 in Lancaster County, PA, the daughter of the late Paul and Lydia (Martin) Reiff. Prior to her marriage to Warren Martin on January 23, 1975, she had been a school teacher. After her marriage, she was a homemaker where she raised her family and was an awesome mom.

Survivors include her husband, Warren; 7 children: Rachel (Mark) Burkholder of Shiloh, Mary (Eli) Miller of Colorado Springs, CO, Miriam (James) Falb of Dalton, David Martin of Shelby, Anna Martin of Reading, California, Timothy Martin of Woodland Park, CO, and Wayne Martin of Shelby; 11 grandchildren; 8 brothers and 4 sisters: Phares (Lena) Reiff, Anna (Allen) Martin, Lucy (Allen) Oberholtzer, Elizabeth (Amos) Oberholtzer, Titus (Ada) Reiff, Lydia (Clayton) Skirk, Paul (Anna) Reiff, James (Esther) Reiff, John (Anna Mary) Reiff, Luke (Ina) Reiff, Edwin (Grace) Reiff, and Earl (Edith) Reiff; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a son, Joshua Martin; and 2 sisters: Mary Reiff (her twin) and Ruth Reiff.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Buckeye Community Center, 79 Noble Road, Shiloh. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 9:30 am at the Bloomingrove Mennonite Church, Free Road, Shiloh with burial in the church cemetery. Care for Mabel and her family is being provided by Bob, Catherine, and Jake at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.
