Lynnwood Howard Porter
Lynnwood Howard Porter, age 42, of Shelby, died Saturday morning, November 4, 2023 at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. His death follows a very brief and unexpected illness.

Lynnwood is survived by his daughter whom he adored: Layla Porter; mother and poppy: Barbara Porter and Duane Cattey of Shelby; father: Terry Porter of KY; sister: Sabrina Billingsley of Shelby; niece: Savannah Billingsley; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His grandparents, Oren and Tessie Tackett and Pauline Dodd, preceded him in death.

I am so sorry for your loss of Lynnwood. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers as you navigate through this difficult time. He truly was such a happy and gentle man even though I may have only known him a short time. Hugs & lots of love to you all ♥️
We send our deepest condolences. I had a lot of fun with Lynnwood growing up in Shelby and it’s too soon for him to have left us.
I am still so in shock. Lynnwood was one of the best people I knew. We used to skate all the time and he was the only one with a liscence he would dude is around tearing stuff up all over the place. Such a kind human and very forgiving. I feel the most for his little girl whom he loved more than life itself.
Lynnwood was just the nicest guy. I know how adored he was by his daughter & family. I pass along my sincerest condolences.
It is so hard to believe that Lynnwood is gone. I know it’s even harder for you to believe. I went through the same thing when I loss Missy. If you ever need to talk I’m just a phone call away. My thoughts and prayers are with you today and always!! Love you all!!
I am not sure I have the words to describe how I feel right now. I will try though.
Lynn and I were pretty close growing up. We didn’t get to hang out a lot due to the distance between us (him in Ohio and me in KY) but we had some great times when we were able to get together. Lynn was always a high spirited person and had a good heart. He could always make you laugh even in the worst of times.
I wish we had more time with him. He will be missed greatly.
Lots of love, and my Sincere Condolences!
Sad to hear , Lynnwood was a good man. Always cracking jokes. Lots of memories with him growing up and in my adult life. He had the coolest truck as teenagers. You will be missed my friend. Rest easy brother
