Karen Sue (Wilson) White, age 71, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014

At OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.

 

She was born November 18, 1943 in Galion. She was a 1961 graduate of Shelby High School and a 1963 graduate of Columbus Business University. She retired in 2009 from Pioneer Career and Technology Center where she was secretary to the superintendent and the board of education for 32 years. Karen was a member of First United Church of Christ in Shelby. Her hobbies included antiquing and gardening.

 

Karen is survived by her children: Eric (Dr. Kimberly Wilcox) White of Granville and Aaron White of Lexington; a granddaughter: Brennah White of Granville; her mother: Mabel (Eckstein) Wilson of Galion. She was preceded in death by her father: Howard Paul Wilson.

 

 

Friends may call on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 1-2:30 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Private graveside services will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby conducted by Rev. Bob Flint, Pastor of First United Church of Christ.

    Before automatic check deposits I’d ride my bike in the summer to Pioneer to get my check and Karen would have iced tea made and give me some so I’d have energy to ride back into town!
