John Aaron N. Zimmerman

John Aaron N. Zimmerman, age 88 years, 8 months, and 2 days, of Shiloh, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at his home.

He was born January 7, 1932 to the late Aaron and Lizzie (Nolt) Zimmerman. He married Anna W. Oberholtzer on January 6, 1955. John Aaron was a retired farmer and was a member of Blooming Grove Old Order Mennonite Church.

Surviving is his wife of 65 years; 16 children: Irvin (Martha) of Shiloh, Harold (Esther) of Shiloh, David (Lydia) of Shiloh, John Aaron (Eunice) of Greenwich, Alvin (Norma) of Greenwich, Alta (Ammon) Martin of New Holland, PA, Eli (Irene) of Sardinia, OH, Emory (Ella) of Shiloh, Amos (Alma) of Ashland, Lawrence (Norma) of Willard, Steven of Paradise, PA, Anna Mae (Leonard) Zimmerman of Penn Yan, NY, Susan (Harlan) Shirk of New Holland, PA, Leroy (Ella Mae) of Carson City, MI, Samuel (Lillian) of Shiloh, and Lena (David) Horning of Greenwich; 127 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; 1 brother; 3 sisters; and 1 sister-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 9 brothers and 2 sisters.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 1-4 pm at the family home, 1101 Free Road, Shiloh. Funeral services will be on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 9:30 AM at Blooming Grove Old Order Mennonite Church, Free Road, Shiloh. The home ministry will officiate services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Care for John and his family is being provided by the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby.
