Joe R. Stuckert

Joe R. Stuckert, age 83, of Ontario, died Saturday night, March 27, 2021 at Mansfield Memorial Homes.

Joe was born October 1, 1937 in Bucyrus to the late John Richard and M. Irene (Frizzell) Stuckert. He was a 1955 graduate of Bucyrus High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force and Mansfield Air National Guard, serving during the Vietnam Era. From the time Joe graduated high school he was an employee of Wagner Hardware Company where he spent his entire career. Prior to retirement in 2002, he returned to purchasing to finish out his 47 years of employment. Following retirement, Joe worked part time delivering meals for Simply EZ in Mansfield for over 15 years.

On January 11, 1958, Joe married Constance L. Stevens. Throughout their 63 years of marriage, Joe and Connie have been active volunteers both in their church and in the community. Their committed involvement at Ontario United Methodist Church could not be missed. Joe sang in the choir for over 40 years, was a trustee for 15 years, had served on various committees, enjoyed assisting with the Grace and Eggs Sunday morning fellowship program, and was very active in any activity the church had going. Joe and Connie loved staying involved with the Ontario High School kids and supporting them and volunteered for many years in the concession stands for both football and basketball. Joe also volunteered in patient support for 15 years with what is now OhioHealth Hospice.

Connie survives Joe, along with their 2 daughters: Amy J. Cunningham of Mansfield and Joni L.
