Jennifer Lynn Sprankle

Jennifer Lynn Sprankle, age 42, of Shelby, died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Hospice House of North Central Ohio in Ashland after a long illness.

She was born October 12, 1970 in Shelby and was a 1990 graduate of Shelby Senior High School and Pioneer Joint Vocational School where she studied horticulture. She then attended Agriculture Technical Institute (ATI) in Wooster for two years. Jennifer had been employed at Schumacher’s Flower Shop, Packaging Insights, Inc. and Thorp Manufacturing all in Shelby. Jennifer remained positive and determined throughout her 10 year battle with cancer.

Jennifer is survived by her husband: Jesse L. Sprankle whom she wed on May 18, 1996; a daughter: Brittany Nycole Sprankle at home; Mother: Susan Pollock of Shelby; Mother-in-law: Marilyn Sprankle of Shelby; Close Friends: Tammy Fellows and Cathy Uplinger; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother: Jeffry Allen Pollock in 1993.

Friends are welcome on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2-5 PM at Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church, 18 South Gamble Street, Shelby with Pastor Tom Snyder and Mr. Corby Blanton officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the church or to Shelby Athletic Boosters.
