Graham Nicholas Scott
Graham Nicholas Scott, age 15, of Shelby, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident.
Graham was born December 27, 2008 in Shelby, the son of Todd M. Scott and Michelle L. (Hopkins) Bellomy. Currently a sophomore in the Shelby High School Class of 2027, Graham was an honor student and member of the Shelby Whippet football team. An active member of the Shelby FFA, he volunteered often for many events and activities the group was involved in.
Graham loved being outdoors, especially enjoyed riding 4-wheelers and ATVs, and relished time on the family farm learning everything he could. He had recently sparked an interest in welding and was happy having his learner’s permit all while looking forward to getting his driver’s license. Graham loved animals and all dogs, especially their family pups: Bo, Luke, Ellie, Weenie, Remi, and Ollie. But not everything he loved had to be outside. He also thoroughly enjoyed playing video games and eating any snack he could find.
As a person, Graham was polite and sweet, kind and loving, and always thoughtful. He was funny, especially to his friends, and always sociable. Graham had a core group of friends who he was so very close with but had great groups of friends in all things he was involved in – something that came naturally to him as he knew few strangers.
Although Graham’s life was tragically cut short on this earth, his profound impact to all who knew him reaches further than one can imagine. He will forever be loved.
Graham is survived by his mother and stepfather: Michelle and Eric Bellomy; father: Todd Scott; his brothers: Tyson Scott, Dylan Scott (fiancé, Makenzie Gearhart), Daniel Scott, Carter Scott, Branson Scott, and Brock Scott; maternal grandparents: Diane and Robert Cash; paternal grandparents: Kenneth and Karen Scott; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and an exponential amount of friends. His brother, Jackson Todd Scott, preceded him in death.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 12-7 pm at the Penwell Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. It is requested that the parking lot at the funeral home be used for guests that need shorter walking distances. For those able to walk, it is asked that guests park at ArcelorMittal (the Tuby), OhioHealth Shelby Hospital, or Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, who have so graciously allowed guests to use their parking lot.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 5741 State Route 61, Shelby. Graham attended Sacred Heart School and will be buried in the church cemetery. Pastor Terry Garrett will officiate the services.
For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby FFA Program and left in care of funeral home.
Condolences may be left on Graham’s obituary on the funeral home’s website (PenwellFuneralHome.com) or their Facebook page (Facebook.com/PenwellFuneralHome).

We were never really close but you were an amazing person. You brought light to the darkest rooms and you always had spread positivity throughout the building. You were always open to listen to all the problems people had to talk about. You were there for EVERYONE. I’m sorry this happened. You barely got to experience life, this is a very tragic, exhausting, and traumatizing experience. I hope your having the best time up in heaven. Make the sky beautiful. We miss you Graham.
