Glenn F. Martin

Glenn F. Martin, age 56 years, 5 months, and 16 days, of Shelby, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center after sustaining accidental head injuries.

He was born on October 10, 1962 in Lancaster, PA, the son of Amos and the late Emma Ruth (Fox) Martin. On October 24, 1985 he married Ruth H. (Leinbach) Martin and she survives along with 7 children: Jeanette (DeWayne) Martin of Plymouth, Matthew (Rosalie Z.) Martin of Willard, Linda (Kevin) Oberholtzer of Shiloh, Amos (Norma S.) Martin, Wesley (Janice M.) Martin, Larry Martin, and Kevin Martin all of Shelby; 13 grandchildren; his father and step-mother: Amos and Esther M. Martin of Pennsylvania; his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Benjamin and Naomi Leinbach of Shelby; 11 siblings: Harold (Etta) Martin, Lois (Titus) Garman, Floyd (Susan) Martin, Jere (Louella) Martin, Ruth (Amos) Zeiset, Nelson (Anna Mae) Martin, Mary Ann (Mark) Martin, Vernon (Lucille) Martin, Luella (Steven) Martin, Larry (Erla) Martin, and Elvin (Miriam) Martin all of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Glenn’s mother, Emma Ruth (Fox) Martin, preceded him in death.

Glenn was a dairy farmer and was a member of the Springmill Mennonite Church of the Groffdale Conference.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the family home, 6740 Bowman Street Road, Shelby. Morning services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the family home prior to funeral services at 9:30 AM at Springmill Mennonite Church, corner of Dininger and Plymouth Springmill Roads. The home ministry will officiate the services with burial being in the church cemetery. Care for Glenn and his family is being provided by the Penwell Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.
