Penwell Turner Funeral Home - Shelby, Ohio

Geretha C. (Todd) Barndollar

Geretha C. (Todd) Barndollar, age 84, of Shelby, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at OhioHealth Marion General. She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 60 years, Bill, whom she has missed immensely since his passing.

Geretha was born January 20, 1936 in Beckley, WV, the daughter of the late Jacy Jesse and Letha (Jones) Todd. She was a graduate of Beckley High School and spent her career at Shelby Business Forms, retiring in 1998 under the Miami Systems ownership. Geretha was an active member of the Ontario First Church of God (now named Avenue Church). She loved flowers and tending to her garden and was a faithful viewer of both Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy (so much of a fan, in fact, that most knew not to bother calling between 7-8 pm as the conversation would be short, if any).

Together with her late husband, William H. “Bill” Barndollar, they had many friends throughout their lives, and both were one to never meet a stranger. They thoroughly enjoyed being together and with others. In addition to Bill and her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Dennie Todd, Donald Todd, Daimon Todd, and Gladys Rogers. She is survived by her daughters: Juan (Dan) Barndollar-Stuckman of Shelby and Natalie (Steve) Jenkins of Ashland; grandchildren: Todd Yarger, Tyeler (Tina) Yarger, Turner (Kayla) Yarger, Taylor (Kyle) Bache, Ryan (Michaela) Jenkins, and Ryan (Deana) Stuckman; great grandchildren: Kinsley and Kenna Yarger, Brinley and Braisley Yarger, Gavin Bache, Jaxon Jenkins, Kayli (Lance) Pinter, Jade (David) Rowland, and Jace Stuckman; great great grandchild: Ryder Rowland; a sister: Glansy Williams; a sister-in-law: Alice Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 2-4 pm at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will immediately follow at 4 pm with Pastor Nate Hultz officiating. Guests are also welcome on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 10-11 am at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY. 4. RUSS AND PAT TODD says:

    Natalie and Juan,

Pat and I extend our sympathies, thoughts and prayers to you and your families during this time of mourning after the passing of your mother. She will, along with your Dad, be missed by many people that have known them over the years for their loving Christian faith as well as a very interesting sense of humor. We still talk about their “hillbilly singing skit” they performed at our wedding reception, and that was 42 years ago! As we grieve we also know they are experiencing life in the presence of the Lord. God Bless.
