I have known Gail my whole life. We lived next door to each other for the first 5 years of our lives. She is the first person I remember playing with. My prayers go out to Dean and the rest of the family. May God bring you the peace you need at this time. Gale Pittenger

  21. Gena Williams says:

Gail was one of the first people I met when we moved to Shelby in the early 80’s. She styled my hair and we became quick friends. Through the years when I moved to Columbus we stayed in touch. After her breast cancer diagnosis we shared our common experiences, often having a long lunch after a doctor’s visit. When my Mom passed in March she showed up: one of those forever friends. Her smile and laugh were contagious. I will truly miss her. I’ve been praying for the family since Sally texted saying she had been admitted to the James again. I will continue those prayers.

  24. Tammy Sheffler says:

My heart breaks for Dean and the family and all those whose lives Gail touched. She sure touched mine. I became friends with Gail because of our mutual love for The Lettermen. I didn’t know her for many years like so many of you, but when I met her we instantly connected. Though there were many miles between us, we kept in touch even if it wasn’t at a Lettermen gathering. She was so fun to be around. She came to stay with me one weekend as there was a show in my neck of the woods. We talked for hours and had such a great time. She had such a loving and giving spirit about her. She was fun to the core. She was loved by me and so many — the last we spoke was just about a week before her passing …. I still can’t believe she is gone. I will miss her but I know she is free of pain and that makes my heart mend a bit. Love and hugs to her family and friends – Heaven got a bit brighter the day Gail arrived. Love you my friend <3
