Faye Anne (Ostermyer) Crum

Faye Anne Crum, age 82, of Shelby, died on February 21, 2019.
She was born March 7, 1936 in Chatfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edgar “Eck” and Hazel (Buchman) Ostermyer.
Faye graduated from Chatfield High School in 1954. After her schooling, she worked at the Ostermyer Garage in Chatfield, Chatfield Egg Factory, and then the Chatfield Farmers Equity Exchange before meeting her husband, Don Crum.
Don and Faye married on September 15, 1963. After marriage, she moved to the family farm located just outside of Tiro.
Faye was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, and flower gardening. Her first priority was always caring for her family and supporting the work on the family farm.
She was an active member of her community and an ongoing member of Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church in Tiro, Ohio.
Faye is survived by her husband, Don Crum; a son: Michael Crum of Crestline, Ohio; a daughter: Nancy (Michael) Crum-Cianflone MD of San Diego, California; 2 grandchildren, Lucas and Jenna Cianflone; a sister: Phyllis Eppley of Chatfield, Ohio. Faye was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Jule Redman.
Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 4-6 pm at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 1 pm at Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church, 402 Main Street, Tiro, with Mr. Scott Fishpaw, SAM officiating. Burial will follow in Tiro Oakland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church can be made through the funeral home.
