Faith Arlene Hurst

Faith Arlene Hurst, age 74, of Shelby, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at OhioHealth Shelby Hospital Emergency Department. Although her death was unexpected to us here on Earth, her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ allows us to know she now rests in His presence.
Faith was born October 22, 1946 in Hocking County, Logan, Ohio to the late Ernest and Mary (Powell) Baker. She was well known as a driver for the Amish and Mennonite communities, a job she genuinely enjoyed and loved. For her family, she loved to make fudge and noodles, especially for the grandchildren. In her free time, she loved crocheting, reading books, and doing puzzles. Faith was a Christian woman who thoroughly enjoyed attending church and was a member of First Apostolic Church of Nankin.
Most importantly, Faith loved her family more than anything. Faith is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Ronald Lee Hurst, Sr., whom she wed on September 15,1967. In addition to Ron, she is survived by 7 children: Pamela (Steven) Zilch of South Point, Tamela Craft of Lancaster, Rhonda Notestone of Lancaster, Brian Hurst of Mansfield, Becky Rager of Shelby, Ronald Lee Hurst, Jr. of Corning, and Bruce (Tina) Hurst of Crestline; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; siblings: Phil Baker of Columbus and Robert Baker of Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren; a great grandchild; and siblings: Charles Baker, David Baker, Charlotte Baker, Leoma Harden, and Lyda Kornmiller.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, February 14,2021 from 2-5 pm at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 11 am. Kelley, her pastor, will officiate the services with burial following in Adario Cemetery.
