Esther E. (Roberts) Williams
Esther E. Williams, age 87, of Shelby, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Med Central Shelby Hospital.
Esther was born on September 30, 1924 in Shelby, the daughter of the late Russell and Alta (Billman) Roberts. She was a former member of Shelby Eagles Auxiliary, Shelby VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed playing cards. An avid football fan, Esther enjoyed following the Shelby Whippets and thoroughly adored The Ohio State University Buckeyes. Esther’s life revolved around her family. Her presence and quick wit will be missed.
Esther is survived by her children and their spouses: Phil (Lynn) Williams, of Powell, Larry (Deb) Williams, of Shelby, Jeanne Williams Buckholz, of Shelby, Sandi (Gerald) Williams-Kato, of Denver, CO, Kim (Jamie) Williams, of Shelby; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Buddy (Joan) Roberts, Jim (Sandy) Roberts, Tom (Ann) Roberts, Joann Bland, Nancy Shelton, all of Shelby; sister-in-law, Geraldine Roberts, of Shelby. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Harold P. Bud Williams, in 1990; a son, Terry Williams; siblings, John Roberts, Paul Pork Roberts, Betty Seaton, Jane Pollock, Irene Eggleston.
Friends may call at the TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 168 West Main Street, Shelby on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 6-8 pm and also on Friday from 10-11 am where funeral services will be held at 11 am. Josh Harpold from Core Community Church will officiate and burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Susan G. Komen For the Cure.
