Eleanor L. Taylor

Eleanor L. Taylor, age 86, of Shelby, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her home.

Eleanor was born February 11, 1932 in Moxahala, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Stallings) Musick. Eleanor was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, and flower gardening, and was always active and on the go.

Eleanor loved her family and was devoted to caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Surviving her are 3 children: Gloria (Roger) Hunter of Shelby, Marlene Adkins of Ontario, and Richard “Rat” (Conni) Taylor of Shelby; 8 grandchildren: Jeremy (Jancie) Cains, Schuyler (Tessa) Clutter, Tyson Clutter, Gibson Clutter (Tiffany Detillion), Matt (Mandi) Taylor, Laura (Chad) Heimlich, Dawn (Mike) Perry, and Jason Age; 13 great grandchildren; 4 siblings: Wayman (Francis) Musick of Ontario, Kenneth (Donna) Musick of Mansfield, Joan (Alton) Bucher of Lucas, and Danny (Carolyn) Musick of Logan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Gene E. Taylor, in 1996; a grandson: Derek Clutter; a great granddaughter: Kairi Clutter; and siblings: Tom Musick, Bob Musick, Maxine Alexander, Donna Mae Taylor, and Bill Musick.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 4-7 pm at the PENWELL TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10 am. Rev. Steven L. Schag will officiate and burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and left in care of the funeral home.
