Edna was always a ray of sunshine when I visited my mom at Elmcroft. She always had a sweet smile and kind words. She became a special friend to my mom in the few months mom has been at Elmcroft and mom looked forward to meals and visits with her. She will be missed. May God be with your family during this difficult time and know Heaven now has a special angel.
Mary Jo & family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers.

My sincere sympathy to the family. It was a pleasure to get to know Edna. She was very blessed to have such a wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
… I just learned of Edna’s death. I join with my mother, Betty, in wishing you comfort during these days of loss. She was a gracious neighbor for a season at Elmcroft. …
Oh Tom, I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She sounds like she was a wonderful woman. I just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you and your family at this time.
My deepest and heartfelt sympathy in the passing of Edna Herlihy. I know how much you all must miss her but at the sometime I am aware how much she missed James (Mr. H). I became acquanted with Mrs. H in the Shelby High School Library where I was one of the library aides. I actually spent quality time with Edna and Bonnie Carmichael working there all four years of high school. I have many fond memories of Mrs. H. She was an all around wonderful and kind person who always had a smile and joyful greeting for me and everyone else whom she came in contact with. My Mother, Faye Brown, also knew Edna from Shelby Jr. High School. I was able to keep in contact with Edna over the years but now as much as I would have liked to. To Edna’s Family and Friends… I wish you peace, comfort and compassion at this time. I will cherish memories of Edna. Sincerely, Medrith Brown — (Shelby High School Class of 1983)
Dear Tom,
I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. May the Lord comfort you among your family and nearby friends. Your parents are dancing together, now. Yours in friendship, Kris
Dear Tom,
I agree with your eloquent words. She wanted to be with your dad and is with him now in peace. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family.
Mary Jo,
So sorry to hear about your mom. I don’t think we ever met her but judging from the daughter she raised she must have been a pretty great woman! You are the strongest person I know and the struggles of these past few years have been many. I only hope I can be half the person you were through all this! You are in my thoughts and prayers.
TJ and Family,
Sorry to hear of your mother’s death. Know that you are in our thoughts. May your many memories comfort you in the days ahead.
