Doris Jane Cline

Doris Jane Cline, age 83, of Shelby, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

 

Doris was born on February 22, 1930 in Shelby to the late John and Florence (Smith) Sheldon. She was a cafeteria worker in the Shelby City Schools system for many years. Doris enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing and babysitting her grandchildren.

 

Doris is survived by: 3 sons: Dale (Marsha) Cline of Shelby, Ted (Barb) Cline of Carthage, NC, Dave (Theresa) Cline of Lexington; a daughter: Susan Costein of Plymouth; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law: Jean Sheldon of Bucyrus, Winigene Brown of Fairborn; a brother-in-law: Elias Cline of Ashland. She was preceded in death by: her husband: Cletus E. “Jack” Cline on July 26, 2012; a son-in-law: John Costein; a brother: Robert Sheldon; a sister: Lois Barrett.

 

Private family services will be held at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, and burial will follow in Little London Cemetery with Rev. Charles Odums, chaplain of Stein Hospice, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby Home and Public Health.
