Donna Mae Clabaugh

 

Donna Mae Clabaugh, age 75, of State Route 61 South, Shelby, died Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at Med Central Mansfield Hospital.

 

She was born February 5, 1928 in Shelby the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Ohma (Waters) Reed. Donna was a 1946 graduate of Shelby High School and worked for Dr. Elmer Jackson from 1946-1952. On June 22, 1947 she married Ira J. Clabaugh, and he preceded her in death on November 13, 2002.  She and her husband Ira owned and managed the C & T Laundromat in Shelby for 28 years. Donna was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby, the Neoma Circle, AARP, and Shelby Cloverleaf Western Square Dance Club. She and Ira traveled extensively.

 

Donna is survived by her 3 daughters and their spouses: Jana and Tim Sampson of Tomball, TX, Lola and Alan Cline of Mansfield, Viki and Bob Deruy of Shelby; 6 grandchildren: Shane Sampson, Sarah Sampson, Casey Cline, Addie Cline, Cari Deruy, Keli Deruy; 3 brothers and their spouses: James and Mert Reed, Dick and Judy Reed, Ned and Elaine Reed all of Shelby.

 

Calling hours will be on Thursday, February 20, 2003 from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street Shelby and on Friday, from 10-11 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM.
