Clifford Le’Roy “Cliff” Wheeler
Clifford Le’Roy “Cliff” Wheeler, age 55, of Shelby, died Thursday, August 1, 2019 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Cliff was born November 25, 1963 in Delbarton, WV, the son of the late Clifford L. and Emma (Harmon) Wheeler. He was a 1982 graduate of Shelby High School and earned a journeyman electrician certificate. Cliff worked his entire life as an electrician and was extremely talented at his trade. Because of his talent, he did work for FEMA to help restore power after natural disasters.
Cliff was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and cherished any moment spent with his grandchildren. Both his outdoor life and his grandchildren were his world. Cliff was an old school “man’s man” who was proud to be independent and worked hard to provide for himself and his family.
Surviving Cliff are his daughter and son-in-law: Jessica (Aaron) Smith of Shelby; 3 grandchildren: Nautica Wheeler, Riddik Smith, and Emma Smith; 2 sisters: Brenda (Larry) Hamilton and Judy (Bob) Galbraith; a brother: Dewey Wheeler; and other relatives and friends. His parents predeceased him.
Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 6-8 pm at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cliff’s family.
