Clarence W. Summers

Clarence W. Summers, age 94, of Shelby, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Shelby Pointe.

He was born May 5, 1919 in Mansfield, Ohio the son of the late Robert F. and Lurena (Dickson) Summers. Mr. Summers retired from Ideal Electric Company in Mansfield after 30 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church in Mansfield.

Clarence is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Tom Zehner of Shelby; his son: James Summers of Kentucky; former son-in-law: Mark Runkle of Montana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Nellie (Stauffer) Summers; second wife: Edna (Collins) Summers; a daughter: Joyce Runkle; a grandson: Kenneth Zehner; 2 brothers: George Summers and Howard Summers; a sister: Isabelle Snider.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11 AM at Shenandoah Cemetery with Rev. Tom McFadden officiating. Memorial expressions may be made to Shelby Y Community Center. Care provided by Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby.
