Cherie W. Wade
Cherie W. Wade, age 74, of Mansfield, died Monday morning, August 23, 2021 at her home following a three-year battle with cancer.
Cherie was born November 15, 1946 in Muskegon, MI to the late William H. and Mae Eileen (Weldon) Wade. She was a 1964 graduate of Magnificat High School in Rocky River. Cherie grew up in Westlake, Ohio and has resided in Mansfield for the past 17 years.
Throughout her life, Cherie turned her passion for art, color, and interior design into a lifelong career. She worked as a designer for various companies and freelancing to help customers and friends bring beauty and warmth to their homes and projects. Cherie had a love for animals and was very philanthropic toward many charities. She attended St. Mary of the Snows Catholic Church in Mansfield.
Cherie is survived by her siblings: William C. Wade of North Ridgeville, OH, Shelley (Kent) Risner of Mansfield, OH, Denise (Kevin) Young of Windom, MN, and Randall (Kelly) Wade of Merritt Island, FL; nieces and nephews: Lauren (Greg) Pauly of Milton, MA and their children: Rachael, Meghan, and Hannah; Mike (Sarah) Young of Humboldt, SD and their children: Weston and Addilyn; Dylan Young of Slidell, LA, Haley (Evan) Soulek of Dell Rapids, SD and their children: Mckinney and Marshall; Wyatt Wade of Merritt Island, FL, Katie Wade of Merritt Island, FL; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister: Wendy Wade.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 10-11:30 am at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, Ohio 44875. Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 12 noon at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 29 West Street, Shelby, Ohio 44875 with Fr. Matthew Frisbee, Pastor of Lexington Resurrection Parish, celebrating. Burial will be private in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Avon, Ohio at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.StJude.org/donate) or the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate) or left in care of the funeral home.

Cherie was a dear co-worker at Lowe’s. She was always supportive and eager to assist. I enjoyed our little chats. She will be missed. Rest easy my friend. Deana

So sorry to hear about her passing. She did 2 projects for our house through Lowe’s. She was so great to work with. Such a kind person.
I enjoyed working with Cherie at Lowe’s. She was beautiful inside and out. Very helpful. I enjoyed talking with her. I looked for her every time I stopped in.
I took care of Cherie at the Cancer Center, She was a very wonderful woman, I loved talking with her and when I needed help at Lowe’s with flooring she was there helping me make a decision. She was very passionate about interior design. I will miss her.

I am so sorry for your loss! I can’t imagine this world without her around! I’ve actually been her hairdresser for many years, but most of all a friend! I’ve been so blessed to have her as a friend and all of the amazing laughs and stories that we’ve shared over the years! May God bless each and everyone of you with comfort and peace!
