Charles M. “Chuck” Blevins

Charles M. “Chuck” Blevins, age 82, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Oak Grove Manor in Mansfield.

Chuck was born April 30, 1941 in Frankfort, KY to the late James Henry and Nola Larue (Isaac) Blevins. The oldest child of 10, Chuck was helpful to his mother in raising their large family after the early death of his father. Retiring from the City of Mansfield Street Department following 19 years of service, Chuck enjoyed country and westerns (both music and shows) and watching religious stations on television. He thoroughly enjoyed being outside, especially mowing the lawn and fishing.

Chuck loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca A. “Becky” (Myers) Blevins, whom he wed December 17, 2002; children: Christina (David) Zickefoose, Theresa Stephens, and Gregory (Amanda) Stephens all of Mansfield; 23 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way; sisters: Mary Smith and Nellie Smith both of Olive Hill, KY; brothers: Franklin Blevins and Paul (Linda) Blevins both of Grayson, KY; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by an infant son: Edward Stephens, III; daughter: Sheila Stephens; great grandson: Carson; 5 brothers and sisters; and his Uncle Cline with whom he had a close relationship.

Family and friends are welcome to attend graveside services on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 12 noon at Oakland Cemetery, South Gamble Street, Shelby. Pastor Jeff Wright with Mosaic in Mansfield will officiate the services.
