Carolyn S. Stevens
Carolyn S. Stevens, age 76, of Shelby, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at her home.
Carolyn was born July 4, 1939 in Shelby to the late Donald L. and Effie C. (Brocwell) Reidel.
In 1961, she married Edward M. Stevens and he preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by twin daughters: Audra Wilkens of Shelby and Jana (Merle) Fulton of Port Charlotte, FL; a grandson: Nick Wilkens of Shelby; a brother: Lennie (Rosemary) Reidel of Shelby; a sister-in-law: Connie (Joe) Stuckert of Ontario; and extended family.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5-7 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held at 7 PM with Fr. Joe Ashby officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby Helpline Ministries.

I am so sad to hear of Carolyn’s passing. She hired me at Pioneer in 1987 and I am still there. She taught me to do things right and in a timely fashion. I owe a lot to Carolyn.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family. She was one terrific lady!

Sorry to hear of Carolyn’s passing. She was my first supervisor at Pioneer Career & Technology Center, beginning in December, 1997. She was always helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and patient. We attended a couple of planning meetings at a career-tech school in the Cleveland area before I was even officially on the payroll at Pioneer, just to get a jump on what was important to the position I was hired for, which was also new to Pioneer. She was a valuable asset to Pioneer.
My thoughts and prayers are with Carolyn’s family. She hired me at Pioneer in 1997 and I will be eternally grateful to her. She was a joy to talk to and work with. I looked up to her and learned so much from her.
It was Carolyn who told me about the advantages of college hours beyond a Master’s Degree. Because of her I have a permanent teaching certificate. Thank you Carolyn. Throughout my tenure at Pioneer I have remembered her from time to time for her mentorship.

I am so sorry to hear about Carolyn. I knew her from Pioneer and she retired shortly after I began working at PCTC. She was one classy lady and she would always speak to you when she saw you. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in the days ahead as I know you will have your good times and then the tears will flow, but that is alright. I truly understand what you are going through.
We are praying for Carolyn’s family and are so sorry for their loss. I met Carolyn at church, and as a fellow musician, I LOVED to hear her tickle the ivories. She was always smiling and so full of wisdom and encouragement. What a great lady.
