Carol Ann Metzger

Carol Ann Metzger, age 81, of Glasgow, Kentucky died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.

She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on February 15, 1941, to the late Joseph Allen Eilerman and the late Oliva Ann (Schmitz) Eilerman. She was an Art Teacher for Barren County Schools and a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen Metzger Jr. (Christy) of Glasgow and Joseph Allen Metzger (Penny Davis) of California; one daughter, Kim Metzger Thomas (Chris) of Tennessee; grandchildren, Ryan (Tiffany) and Maria Metzger, Ana, Julia, and K.C. Metzger, Andrew (Emily) and Sarah Thomas; one brother, Robert Eilerman (Dolly) of Ohio; and in-laws: Don Metzger, Mike Metzger, and Jeanne Metzger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Joseph Metzger, Sr.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby from 5-8 pm, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 11, 2022 at 10:30 am at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 29 West Street, Shelby with Fr. Chris Mileski celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Crossroads Life Center, PO Box 236, Glasgow, KY 42141.
