Carla Jeanne Ream

Carla Jeanne (Walters) Ream, age 70, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.
Carla was born in Marion, Ohio on October 25, 1954 to the late Edward and Marian (Stout) Walters. A 1973 graduate of Crestline High School, Carla worked as a cashier at the Clark Station in Tiffin making many friends along the way.
A tomboy at heart, Carla enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing- nothing fancy, just tying a string and a hook on a stick. Carla valued spending time with her family and friends, especially the time spent with her friends, Randee and Robin. Her favorite hobbies were crafting and collecting various things such as clowns, angels, bells, and cows. She also enjoyed watching scary movies, many times convincing her kids to join her. Carla also liked playing cards, especially solitaire, but most of all, she loved just being with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
On April 20, 2003, Carla married Stephen A. Ream, who survives, along with her children: Bobby (Dulcy) Bilger and Dana Hankins (Jeff Fry); grandchildren: Aaron, Chelsea, Josh, Megan, Courtney, Scott, Joshua, Dillon, Tristen, Lilly, and Devyn; ; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings: David (Lori) Walters, Kenneth (Peggy) Walters, Deborah (Archie) Halfhill, and Christie Irick; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons: Michael Bilger and Steve Bilger; granddaughter: Sarah Webb; and brother: Mark Walters.
Calling hours and funeral services will not be observed. Care for Carla and her family is being provided by the Penwell Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, Ohio 44875.
