Arthur Allen “Art” Lamb, Jr.
Arthur Allen “Art” Lamb, Jr., age 74, of Shelby, died at his home on Friday, October 14, 2022 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Art was born February 18, 1948 in Garden City, MI. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War in both South Korea and Germany. He spent his entire career in the Industrial Environmental field. Art raced horses for many years. His dad was a trainer and he was the jockey resulting in a hobby and interest that would remain with him throughout his life, especially watching harness racing at the fair. He also loved golfing and fishing.
Art is survived by his sons: Keith (Veronica) Lamb of Shelby, Kevin (Chellie) Lamb of Shelby, and Kirk (Sarah) Lamb of Mansfield; grandchildren: Dustin Erwin (fiancé, Tiffany), Katie (Cory) Davis, Brittany (Ryan) Cains, Gavin Lamb, Kolstin Lamb, Ava Lamb, and Austin Lamb; 6 great grandchildren; a sister: Dorothy Winnie; and Art’s fiancé: Diana Murrin. He was preceded in death by his parents: Helen L. (Snare) and Arthur Allen Lamb, Sr.; and siblings: Doug Winnie, Don Winnie, Harold Winnie, Tim Winnie, and Nancy Poster.
At Art’s request, burial with military honors will take place in Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI where his parents are also buried. Public calling hours and funeral services will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby Knight of Columbus 1968, where Art had been a member, and mailed to, 250 Vernon Road, Shelby, Ohio 44875.
