Anne M. DeSalvo

Anne M. DeSalvo, age 95, of Shelby, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

She was born September 9, 1922 in Center Ridge, Arkansas the daughter of the late Nathan and Antoni (Piedmont) Lanni. Anne retired from Shelby Business Forms after 34 years of service. She was an active member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society. Her faith and her family were the priorities in her life. She loved to cook for her family and sit back and watch them enjoy themselves and have fun together.

On October 17, 1940 Anne married Augustine L. “Gus” DeSalvo and together they had 3 daughters: Helen (Bill) Damron of Wooster, Bette (Frank) Damron of Shelby, and Sandra DeSalvo (Jerry Simon) of Albuquerque, NM; 6 grandchildren: Joelle Reese, Jill Solis, Dawn Yates, Deanie Kehres, Anna Kongs and Christa Akerfelds; 11 great grandchildren.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband: Augustine L. DeSalvo on February 2, 2008; infant son: Daniel Louis De Salvo; grandson: Luke Damron; 5 brothers: Nick, James, Louis, John and Mike Lanni; 4 sisters: Mary Tridico, Linzy Paladino, Rose Stumbo and Lena Tesso.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 4-6 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 29 West Street, Shelby. Father T.J. Hart, her nephew and Father Chris Mileski, her pastor, will concelebrate the Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the church.
