Anna W. Zimmerman

Anna W. Zimmerman, age 88 years, 1 month, and 6 days, of Shiloh, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the home of her daughter, Susan.

She was born March 29, 1933 in Leacock Township, Lancaster County, PA to the late Harry L. and Anna H. (Weaver) Oberholtzer. She married John Aaron N. Zimmerman on January 6, 1955 and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2020. Anna was a member of Blooming Grove Old Order Mennonite Church.

Surviving are 12 sons and 4 daughters: Irvin (Martha) of Shiloh, Harold (Esther) of Shiloh, David (Lydia) of Shiloh, John Aaron (Eunice) of Shiloh, Alvin (Norma) of Greenwich, Alta (Ammon) Martin of New Holland, PA, Eli (Irene) of Sardinia, OH, Emory (Ella) of Shiloh, Amos (Alma) of Ashland, Lawrence (Norma) of Willard, Steven of Paradise, PA, Anna Mae (Leonard) Zimmerman of Penn Yan, NY, Susan (Harlan) Shirk of New Holland, PA, Leroy (Ella Mae) of Carson City, MI, Samuel (Lillian) of Shiloh, and Lena (David) Horning of Greenwich; 127 grandchildren and 186 great grandchildren; and 4 brothers: John, Joseph, Harry and David. In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, May 9, 2021 from 1-4 pm at the home of her son, Samuel, 1125 Free Road, Shiloh. Funeral services will be on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 9:30 am at Blooming Grove Old Order Mennonite Church, Free Road, Shiloh. Bishop Alvin Hoover will officiate services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Care for Anna and her family is being provided by the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby.
