Ada R. (Zimmerman) Martin
Ada R. (Zimmerman) Martin, of Shiloh, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at her home after a seven week illness.
Mrs. Martin was born on September 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Esther M. (Reiff) and Weaver S. Zimmerman. She was a member of Country View Mennonite Church, Groffdale, Conference.
On October 29, 1957 she was united in Marriage to Alvin H. Martin and he survives. Also surviving are: 4 daughters: Esther (Harold) Zimmerman of Greenwich, OH, Eunice (John Aaron) Zimmerman of Greenwich, OH, Ina (Luke) Reiff of Greenwood, WI, and Mary (Norman) Nolt of Liberty, KY; 5 sons: Elon Z. (Lizzie) Martin of Troy, PA, Nelson Z. (Esther) Martin of Greenwich, OH, Mark Z. (Marian) Martin of Shiloh, OH, Owen Z. (Ada) Martin of Ashland, OH, and Ernest (Norma) Martin of Shiloh, OH; 70 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; 5 sisters: Mabel Eberly of Maryland, Esther (Edwin) Garman of East Earl, PA, Ella (Reuben) Reiff of Ephrata, PA, Etta (Elvin) Zimmerman of Shippensburg, PA, and Mary (Walter) Burkholder of Shippensburg, PA; 7 brothers: Phares (Susanna) Zimmerman of Barnett, MO, Abram (Emma) Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, PA, Jacob (Ella Mae) Zimmerman of Ephrata, PA, Noah (Alice) Zimmerman of Withee, WI, Marcus (Ida) Zimmerman of Terre Hill, PA, Ivan Zimmerman of Jefferson City, MO, and Allen (Ella Mae) of East Earl, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a daughter: Ella Martin; a granddaughter: Lisa Zimmerman; and 3 brothers: Ammon, Amos, and Weaver Zimmerman.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 1-4 and 6-8 PM at the family home, 1446 Crum Road, Shiloh. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 9:30 AM at Country View Mennonite Church, Crum Road, Shiloh with burial in the adjoining church cemetery. The home ministry will be officiating the services.
Care for Ada and her family is being provided by Bob, Catherine, and Jake at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.
