Zephyr (Hord) Price

Zephyr Hord Price, age 94, formerly of 49 West Tucker Avenue, Shelby, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Shelby Memorial Hospital. She was born December 20, 1891 in New Haven, Ohio, the daughter of the late J.K. and Rosetta (Post) Hord.

Mrs. Price is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. John H. (Hazel) Gray, Mrs. Ray (Esther) Dake, and Mrs. Russell (Mildred) Page, all of Shelby; 3 granddaughters; 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil R. Price in 1937, and by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Price was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby, the King’s Daughters Sunday School Class, Rebecca Circle, and Plus 25 Christian Endeavor all at church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church with her pastor, the Rev. J. Malcom Brook officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Friends may call today from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.
