Woodrow A. Sonnanstine

Woodrow A. Sonnanstine, age 79, of 6206 Ganges Five Points Road in Shiloh, died Saturday morning in Shelby Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born August 20, 1913 in Bloomingrove Township, Richland County, Ohio, the son of Frank and Ella (Waldvogel) Sonnanstine.
Mr. Sonnanstine was a retired employee of the Ohio Steel Tube Company and had been a farmer all of his life. He was a member of the Shelby American Legion O’Brien Post #326; Shelby
V.F.W. George Broderick Post #291; and the Shelby Owls Club.
Mr. Sonnanstine is survived by 1 sister, Martha Hipsher of Crestline; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 6 brothers: Emmett, Willard, Clifford, Russell, and Kenneth Sonnanstine and by 6 sisters: Ethel Smith, Lily Lorentz, Iva Meyers, Loueda Williams, Vesta Lorentz, and Mary Ebersole.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Donald P. Burton, pastor of Rome Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
