Wilma Jean (Burgin) Eckstein
Wilma Jean Eckstein, age 80, of Quigg Road, Crestline, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her family, after battling Multiple Sclerosis for many years.
Wilma was born November 19, 1928 in Sandusky Township, Crawford County, Ohio the daughter of the late Floyd W. and Mildred (Weaver) Burgin. She was a 1946 graduate of North Robinson High School and was a homemaker. She currently enjoyed spending time with her family. In her earlier years, she enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the family cabin in Michigan.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Harmon E. Eckstein, whom she wed on April 12, 1947; Her children and their spouses, Leslie Skipand Karen Eckstein, Linda and Jack McCarthy, Tonya and Chris Fike all of Tiro; 8 grandchildren and spouses, Scott and Kelly McCarthy of Tiro, Tricia and Joe Hopple of Caledonia, Todd and Jackie Fike of Crestline, Mindy and David Pifher of Sunbury, Tamra and Ted Kaple of Newark, Dan and Michelle Eckstein of Dublin, Kevin and Amy Eckstein of Ashley, and Tim and Renee Eckstein of Ashland; 15 great grandchildren; her siblings and their spouses, Harold and Pam Burgin of Crestline and Cheryl and Rick Luke of Bucyrus.
Friends may call on Friday, January, 9, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Deacon Steve Keller officiating.
