Willis Eugene Shade

Willis Eugene Shade, age 82, of Shelby, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Crestwood Care Center.

Eugene was born May 24, 1927 in Richland County, Ohio the son of the late John and Grace (Heuberger) Shade. He was a 1945 graduate of Shelby High School and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Richland County Fish and Game. He was a self employed brick mason having owned Sharon Masonry. He also worked for Shelby City Schools retiring in 1993 as head of maintenance.

He is survived by 2 sons: Danny E. and Vicki Shade of Mansfield, David A. and Cheryl Shade of Shelby; 4 grandsons: Timothy Shade, William Shade, Mark Shade, Matthew and Shelia Shade; a granddaughter: Tara Shade; 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma L. (Harruff) Shade in 1993 and by 5 brothers: Junior, Glenn, Roy, Paul and Richard Shade.

There will be no public visitation. Private family services will be held at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby with military honors. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
