William Lester Fox

William Lester Fox, age 88, of 20 Wilson Avenue, Shelby, died sunday evening in Shelby Memorial Hospital. He was born May 21, 1902 in Franklin Township, Richland County, Ohio the son of Franklin Pierce and Laura Belle (Gates) Fox.

Mr. Fox was a self-employed home decorator and a member of First United Methodist Church in Shelby.

Mr. Fox is survived by 1 daughter: Mrs. Charles (Margaret) “DeeDee” Kemp of Shelby; 2 sons: Danley E. Fox and James W. Fox both of Shelby; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife LaVan M. (Snyder) Fox on March 27, 1986.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Lyle Hinkle, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 7-9 at the funeral home. Memorial conributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and left in care of the funeral home.
