William H. Hursh

William H. Hursh, age 74, of rural Greenwich, died Sunday, January 18, 2004, peacefully, at his home, as he wished, with family by his side.

Mr. Hursh was born March 28, 1929 in Shelby and was a member of Shelby High School class of 1947. He had a rural canned milk route for many years servicing 8 north central Ohio counties with 5 trucks. He retired from the Orrville Milk Company with over 20 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, crossword puzzles and his pets.

He is survived 11 children, Thomas and Eleanor Hursh of Mansfield, William Hursh, Jr. of Mansfield, Howard and Linda Hursh of Shelby, Ruth and Keith Sexton of Bellville, Mark and Kathy Hursh of Shiloh, Douglas and Linda Hursh of Georgia, James Hursh of Applecreek, Richard and Debbie Hursh of Shiloh, Robert and Sue Danhoff of Willard, Patricia and Mark Clark of Greenwich, Michael and Amy McKenzie of Granville; 20 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, James Hursh of Seattle, Washington; 4 sisters, Mary Biddle of Perrysville, Sally and Forrest Moore of Shelby, Becky and Jerry Barber of Shelby , Bonnie and Ben Niles of Syracuse, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lynch Hursh in 1968, his father, Zeno Hursh, his mother, Ruth Seidel Hursh, his step mother, Elsie Waines Hursh, an infant granddaughter, and a brother John Hursh.

Friends may call on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 from 1-2 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where services will be held on Wednesday at 2 PM.
