William A. Light

William A. Light, age 80, of 137 Elmridge Road, Mansfield, died Friday evening, August 23, 1996, in Med Central – Mansfield Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Light was born September 15, 1915, the son of Bert Ferdinand and Grace (Gundrum) Light.
Mr. Light was the owner of Light Reality in Mansfield for over 40 years, and was past president of the Mansfield Board Of Realtors. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Mansfield Leiderkranz, Venus Lodge #152 F. and A.M., Baku Grotto, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley Of Columbus, and was a past member of the Al Koran Shrine.
He was an Army veteran of W.W. II and was a member of Disabled American Veterans Ohio Chapter #21 and Mansfield American Legion Post #16.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian M. (Lane) Light, whom he married on August 18, 1941; 1 daughter-in-law , Dawn Light of Olathe, Kansas; 2 granddaughters, Nicole Renae Light and Stacey Kristine Light of Olathe, Kansas; 2 sisters, Eileen Eichinger of Shelby and Mary Lou Williams of Shelby; Nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 son, Robert William Light in 1994 and by 2 sisters, Betty Jane Light and Hallie Sipes.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday at 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 2:00 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby with Rev. Lester Vnasdale, Associate pastor of Marion Avenue Grace Brethren Church and his pastor Rev. Keith Rasey, officiating. Masonic Services will be conducted on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. by the Venus Lodge at the funeral home. Burial will be Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
