Waneda M. Hartge

Waneda M. Hartge, age 78, of 59 Roberts Drive, Shelby, died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness.

She was born April 17, 1924 in Mt. Savage, Maryland the daughter of the late Orie C. and Gertrude (Emrick) Dietz. Mrs. Hartge was a former employee of Terra Chemicals and Cornell’s IGA both in Shelby. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Shelby.

Mrs. Hartge is survived by her husband, Paul F. Hartge, whom she wed on June 1, 1946; a son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Mary Hartge of Fairfax, VA; 2 daughters, Paulette D. Hartge of Mansfield, and Joyce E. Hartge of Rancho Cordova, CA; a granddaughter, Ellen W. Hartge; a sister Marie Hoselrode of Baltimore, MD; a sister-in-law, Alice Dietz of Shelby; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Eileen Mowry and a brother Calvin Dietz.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2003, from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM with Rev.
