Wanda Faye (Wilson) Moyer
Former Shelby resident Wanda Faye Moyer, 46, of 511 N. Harris Road, Ypsilanti, MI, died Monday afternoon at her home after an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 3, 1939, in Insko, KY. She was employed as an assembler at an automotive manufacturer in Michigan. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville, TN, and attended the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church in Ypsilanti.
She was the daughter of Chadman Rollen and Walsa Bradley Wilson, who survive in Shelby. She married Phylix David Moyer on Dec. 19, 1971, in Ypsilanti, and he also survives. Other survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Michael (Pamela Faye) Moyer of Murfreesboro, TN, and Traci Lynn Moyer at home; two grandsons; four brothers: John Wilson of Casscoe, AR, Estill Wilson of Shelby, Danny Wilson of Ypsilanti, Jimmy Wilson of Murfreesboro, TN; and one sister, Mrs. Tracy (Janice Kaye) Holbrook of Mansfield.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby by the Rev. Monty Perry, pastor of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Shelby. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Calling hours are Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m.
