Virginia Mae (Livesay) Lacey

Virginia Mae Lacey, age 71, of 85 Broadway, Shelby, died Monday February 12, 2001 at Med Central Mansfield Hospital after a short illness.
She was born July 26, 1929 in Shelby, the daughter of the late Willis and Dorothy P. (May) Livesay. Mrs. Lacey had worked as a nurse’s assistant at Shelby Hospital and at local nursing homes for a number of years. She attended Taylortown Community Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Lacey whom she wed on November 12, 1975; a son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Connie Hench of Clyde; 3 daughters: Diana K. Hench and Cheryle L. Stump all of Shelby; Darlene R. Jewel of Mansfield; 6 grandchildren; 2 stepsons: Robert Lacey of Texas and Allan Ray Lacey of Bucyrus; 7 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandsons; 4 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law: Dorothy Coffey of Renfro Valley, KY; Linda Sue and Daniel Spitler of Marblehead; Carol and Jerry Sims of Renfro Valley, KY; and Joy and Ercil Stevens of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Maynard Livesay, and a sister Arlene Hench.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Taylortown Community Church in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 AM with Rev. O. Douglas Tackett, officiating. Burial will be in Biddle Cemetery in Crawford County, Ohio. Memorial expressions may be made to the Taylortown Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, Ohio 44875.
